Family Enrolls — Loved One Improves

Get real-time answers, practical tools, and community support to help you disrupt the addiction cycle and get your family on a path to recovery.

We work with you FOR your addicted loved one.

Imagine no more confusion, endless worry, or feeling helpless.
Imagine reconnecting with your loved one again.
Imagine your family healed and living the lives you all deserve.

It seems impossible when you’ve tried one thing after another, searched tirelessly for a solution, and again and again, nothing has worked.

It’s easy to feel like there’s nothing you can do…But there is.

You don’t need to wait for your loved one to ask for help.

You CAN become the tipping point in your loved one’s  willingness for recovery.
You CAN bring more balance to your family and more peace to your life.
You CAN do something about their addiction.

Even if your loved one doesn’t “want” it.

It comes down to having the right knowledge, tools, and you being willing to do things differently.

Introducing the Foundations Program

The ONLY program that incorporates educational training, live calls, recovery meetings, and a strong and supportive community for family members of those struggling with addiction looking to become the tipping point in their loved one’s recovery once and for all.

This isn’t just another support group.

It’s a transformative experience designed to empower families like yours to disrupt the addiction cycle, find your voice, and take effective action.

Here’s Exactly What You Get

A way to take action Every. Single. Day.

1:1
Coaching

Your enrollment gets you access to the following recovery resources:

Video Trainings

From 5-minute teachings to hour-long, in-depth sessions and targeted lessons from guest faculty, these video trainings are designed to guide you through our Dear Family Framework and help you understand both addiction and how you have been impacted by and are responding to it. New videos continue to be added.

**You’ll get ongoing access to these trainings after your 8 weeks.

Group Coaching

A weekly 1-hour call with Kate Duffy and guest interventionists to provide expert guidance and answer specific questions you may have about your loved one’s situation so that you know exactly how to show up with disarming statements that hold your boundaries when you’re interacting with your loved one. No more guessing and hoping for the best.

Peer-Led Study Group

The concepts we teach are simple in theory, but complex in practice. This weekly, 1-hour peer-facilitated discussion is where you process and unpack how to bring this into your life through live relational practice, co-regulation, real-time pattern interruption, and accountability. You cannot see your blind spots alone. You don’t need more insight. You need practice being met.

Recovery Meeting

Heal in community at our Double Circle Meeting, a space for all those impacted by addiction—both those in recovery from drugs and alcohol and those who identify as family and friends. Hear from people who’ve been right where you are and came through the other side, and listen to other perspectives (the addict’s perspective, if you’re a loved one, and vice versa).

Online Community

This is where the magic really happens. Your private WhatsApp group gives you 24/7 access to get support between calls, celebrate wins, navigate crises, and build friendships with people who truly understand. Most of our families say the community is worth the investment alone. Being around others following the same program allows you to witness the change, build hope, feel lighter, and gain strength.

1:1 Coaching with Kate

Core and Accelerator plans include private coaching sessions with Kate that allow for personal strategy and planning for your and your family’s specific needs.

Foundations is a transformative program that empowers families to break free from the cycle of addiction, step into their role as a catalyst for change, and make confident, aligned decisions to support their loved one’s recovery.

Through deep understanding, practical tools, and community support, you’ll gain the clarity and confidence to take new action, reconnect with your loved one, and create a family dynamic that supports lasting recovery.

“I feel so much stronger now…”

“I no longer feel hopeless and like there’s nothing I can do to help my loved one want sobriety. There’s SO much you can do…My husband is sober because of me joining [this program]. His words, not mine.”

Shelly

“When I realized I had a community of folks going through the same, but different as me, I felt safe. A place to go to learn and to be able to speak my heart openly? This was just what I needed.”

Nancy

“I feel like a different person just being involved in Bootcamp…I’m just so grateful to have found you and learned that there is a way, there is a way to help her, without having to wait for bad things to happen.”

Facebook post by Pat W. that reads, "Allen and I feel like we've gained so much through our involvement with this group and Kate's information. And we are especially thankful to have been working directly with Kate for advice and support; what a difference. We were able to come to a plan, have our 'statements' ready to repeat, and have more confidence in our approach. I think just knowing that we are working with Kate has had an impact (and James agreed to meet with Kate once which I think also made a difference....she's someone more real to him). Even though our contract didn't get off the ground before James violated it, his interactions with us were totally different and such a relief. He packed up on his own and made plans for where to stay....at least for tonight. 'Just for today' felt good. Thank you, Kate Duffy, and Tipping Point."

    Hey, I’m Kate Duffy.

Recovering Addict & Your Family Recovery Coach

As a recovering alcoholic, family member of people who’ve struggled, and professional in the field, I’m no stranger to the crushing reality of this disease. Like you, I’ve experienced the pain, confusion, and helplessness that comes with watching a loved one battle addiction, and I’ve been on the other side, trapped in the claws of an illness I felt helpless to overcome.

It wasn’t until I got sober myself and started working on call with a local police department doing emergency room interventions on individuals who had just experienced a non-fatal overdose that I saw clearly the many gaps in the current recovery system.

I started a family education group to help the families of these patients understand their loved ones and what was really going on with addiction. One meeting nine months into the group, I looked around the room and realized that the loved one of every single family present was in some form of recovery.

That’s when I knew what we were doing was a game changer—that the family system was the key that was missing from the current recovery system.

Since then, I’ve made it my mission to recover not just my own life, but to teach families how to proactively insert themselves into their loved one’s recovery process and learn how and when to give them the real support they need to finally break free.

Stop the Chaos Bootcamp is the result of over a decade of recovery from my own addictions and my work with thousands of families like YOURS who have found guidance, strength, peace, and hope through this framework.

Ready to set the Foundation for recovery?

    Curious about the trainings?

Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect:

    Module 1 (Weeks 1-3)

    It’s Not About the
    Drugs and Alcohol

Your loved one’s solution is alcohol. It’s not their problem. You are fighting the wrong problem. If you don’t fully understand the problem, how can you offer an effective solution? It’s time to pull back the curtain on addiction and shine a spotlight on the truth behind this disease. We’ll uncover the root problem behind addiction and identify the ways it presents. You’ll learn to take a step back (this is not kicking them out or cutting them off) rather than engage with the addiction, allowing you to respond in a new and more effective way.

    Module 2 (Weeks 4-6)

    What’s Your Loop?

This module invites you to reflect on the ways that you have become unwell as a result of loving someone struggling with addiction. By the end of this module, you’ll not only have clarity on the ways you’ve become caught up in the addiction cycle, but you’ll have tools to help you break those unhealthy patterns and reclaim your voice. You will know how you have been co-signing the problem and/or inadvertently being part of the continuing cycle.

    Module 3 (Weeks 7-8)

    Do Something Different
    (Walking a Recovery Path)

Nothing changes if nothing changes. You waiting for the one with the complex and progressive disorder to change is not working. You have unrealistic expectations, and this is a large part of what’s causing you pain. In this module we focus on new ways of communicating, making decisions, and engaging with your loved one to orient your whole family toward recovery. You will learn how your path and theirs are parallel, different and when you walk yours you can better help them find theirs.

It is so emotional and powerful the way everyone is coming together for this…I am so thankful for Tipping Point and this group!

    Steph, wife

Loving my path starting my day working from home with meditation. It feels so good to have permission to feel good myself and have tools to have a conversation that may be hard for him and not feel like I am responsible for how he responds. It feels so good to enjoy my home and take care of me and have support in facing the “elephant” in the living room rather than sticking my head in the sand. Reframing my story feels good.

    Jennifer, mom

I am at a loss with what to do with my overwhelming love for the brutal honesty from everyone, the excruciating bravery exhibited by all, and the palpable pain and joy offered up for us to learn from. If I could say something to everyone in that group it would be: I have total respect and awe for what you are doing and where you are. Yes, yes, you are doing a great job. Kate Duffy: you hold us close, you see us, you know what we need. I am grateful.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Who is this program for?

Foundations is for any family member, loved one, or close friend of someone struggling with addiction who is ready to stop the confusion, shame, and chaos addiction has created in your life and finally start making decisions that protect your family, help your loved one, and protect and your peace. It is for you if you have the time, space, energy, and DESIRE to create change and learn how to offer real help.

This is NOT the program for a person struggling to find sobriety or a person in recovery. If that is you, we encourage you to reach out to us directly. Send an email to hello@tippingpointrecovery.com and let us know what’s going on and what kind of help you’re looking for. We have options for you.

Is this a treatment program? Will you give me advice on how to treat my loved one's addiction?

Foundations is not a clinical treatment program and does not offer medical advice. The information offered in this program contains non-clinical support strategies provided for informational purposes only. Those seeking medical advice or information about diagnosis and treatment should consult with a doctor or other health care professional.

We do give you advice on how to help your loved one once we get to know you and your circumstances in this Foundations experience. There are times when a private consultation for more targeted advice may be recommended, and we will let you know if that occurs.

Withdrawing from drugs and alcohol can be life threatening. Please call 911 if you are facing a life-threatening situation and feel you need immediate assistance.

How much time will I need to commit for this training?

First, I’ll ask “How much time does addiction rob from you each week?” The time needed here won’t compare to the time addiction has robbed you.

How much time you spend is ultimately up to you, though we recommend you dedicate yourself to at least one program action each day. This could be attending a live call or watching a training video or one of Kate’s lives. The more time you dedicate to the program, the more change you will see in your family and loved one. Past participants have reported that they recoup time by being in this community and that the way they feel almost immediately makes them eager to do more!

What times are the live calls? Will they be recorded?

The live calls will be held at the following times each week:

    • Group Coaching: Mondays at 12:00-1:00pm EST/9:00-10:00am PST (this call may run long)
    • Peer-Led Study Group: Wednesdays at 4-5pm EST/1-2pm PST
    • Recovery Meeting: Thursdays at 7-8pm EST/4-5pm PST

The Group Coaching and Study Group calls will be recorded, and the replays will be made available to all program participants. The Recovery Meetings are not recorded.

Can other members of my family join me in the training?

Yes! Any and all members in your immediate family system are welcome to join you in the training. In fact, the more members of your family who participate, the better. After you register, simply email us at support@tippingpointrecovery.com with their names and email addresses so we can make sure they get access to everything.

What kind of support will be available to me during the training?

You will be invited to join a private WhatsApp community where you can engage with and get support from others participating in the training, though you are not required to do so. We also encourage you to join our Friends of Tipping Point online community where you can interact with members and alumni of our other programs and access additional resources.

Additional support will be available through the weekly live calls (group coaching, peer-led study group, and recovery meeting), and we have more personal and custom ways to support your family. Some need and prefer a private consultant to work with their family. Please email us at hello@tippingpointrecovery.com to inquire about custom and private services for you and your family.

How long do I have access for?

Foundations is an 8-week live experience. By registering for Foundations, you do get ongoing access to the Stop the Chaos training video library on our membership site (with new videos being added regularly). Access to the live components, such as the group coaching and peer-led study group calls, is limited to the 8 weeks you are in the Foundations program.

What if I need to cancel?

You are welcome to choose to no longer participate in Foundations, though keep in mind that once a payment is processed, there are no refunds. We’re here for serious transformation, and that means being committed to the work.
