EVENT DETAILS
Join me July 19th at the Portland Recovery Center for Community Conversations: How to Dramatically Increase Long-Term Recovery.

We’re inviting you to a recovery conversation with a difference.
For a long time the conversation has centered around the addicted person. Their shortcomings, their problem behavior, their willingness or lack thereof. But we want to move the conversation beyond the addicted person. Because what we know is that addiction is a family disorder. And therefore, the family needs to be part of the recovery process in order to give individuals their best chance at long-term success.
And so on July 19th from 1-3 PM EST, we’re inviting you to join us at Community Conversations: How to Dramatically Increase Long-Term Recovery hosted by Susan Giarolo and sponsored by the Portland Recovery Center.
During our time together we’ll be having a powerful conversation through the lens of a family centered approach—about what we’ve learned about increasing someone’s capacity to recover from addiction. We’ll talk about the steps you can take toward meaningful long-term addiction recovery for your family. Kate will share her proprietary framework that helps families treat the addiction through a three-pronged and proven approach involving education, community, and tools and resources. We help families to first understand what’s really going on with addiction, to learn what healthy support looks like, and to identify and address the two paths to recovery: one for the addicted person and one for the family member.
Despite how out of control your life may feel right now, there are things that you can do. But it starts with discovering what you do have control over and believing that change is possible. By doing things a little differently, you can create the change needed to find lasting recovery. And we’re going to tell you all about how you can do that on July 19th.
